Global Programs Officer

Carlota Ferrari joined The Hunger Project in July 2016 as Global Programs Officer. She is originally from Venezuela, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello. During her studies, she conducted field work in rural communities in the country and co-founded a non-profit working with low-income children during the summers. In Venezuela, she worked as a corporate social responsibility consultant managing a women’s empowerment program in low income sectors. She later moved to New York and pursued her Master’s in Environmental Policy and Sustainability Management at The New School. She complemented her studies with work experience in several non-profits in New York city, including The Rainforest Alliance and the Clinton Foundation, working on program design and supporting monitoring and evaluation work. She believes that through greater impact can be achieved through the combination of local social and environmental strategies.
