THP Global Board Elects New Chair

After ten years as Chair of our Global Board of Directors, Dr. Peter Bourne announced his retirement from The Hunger Project's (THP's) Global Board at its October 24 meeting in New York, NY. Dr. Bourne not only served as Board Chair, but also served as a Global Board Member for 27 years.

Throughout his time with THP, his wisdom, guidance and standing in the development community have been of great value. Dr. Peter Bourne serves as Visiting Scholar at Green College, Oxford University and Vice Chancellor Emeritus of St. George's University in Grenada, West Indies. He was formerly Special Assistant to the President of the United States for Health Issues and has had a long career as a clinician and researcher, senior government official, international civil servant, diplomat and author.

We thank Dr. Bourne for all that he has given to THP and wish him the very best in his future endeavors.

At the meeting, the Global Board elected a new chair, Mr. Steven Sherwood. Mr. Sherwood has been on THP's Global Board for more than seven years, and he is one of THP's highest level investors.
