How to Volunteer at The Hunger Project Events
Join a team of passionate world-changers and kick off the summer in the best possible way during The Hunger Project’s West Coast Gala on June 8th in Irvine, California!
During the last 40+ years, The Hunger Project has courageously committed to ending hunger and poverty by pioneering sustainable, grassroots, women-centered strategies and advocating for their widespread adoption in countries throughout the world.
On the weekend of June 8th & 9th in Irvine, California nearly 350 investors, staff and volunteers will come together to connect, empower and ignite each other and the world to the vision, mission, and principles of The Hunger Project.
We are looking for enthusiastic, committed individuals who would like to be a part of these extraordinary events. Volunteer opportunities include: setting up and assembling venue décor, greeting and directing guests, registration, preparing materials, entertainment and speaker support, collecting pledges, and a variety of other crucial event elements. The Hunger Project relies on top-notch volunteers to create successful events year after year. Get connected with your peers and courageously commit to providing an unforgettable experience for our guests.
Volunteers will be needed for a variety of shifts from 3pm-9pm on Friday, June 7th, 8am-midnight on Saturday, June 8th, and 9am-3pm on Sunday, June 9th. Assignments will be based on the volunteer’s availability and skills with most shifts lasting 4-5 hours.
All volunteers are required to attend one orientation meeting, the week of June 3rd. Location, date, and time to be determined.
