The Hunger Project-Sweden has offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmo. Its objectives are: (1) raising funds for the global programs of The Hunger Project and (2) raising awareness of The Hunger Project's global aim to end hunger and poverty. In addition to the Country Director, Sara Wettergren, there are five additional staff members: Magdalena Jennstål, Ylva Munkhammar, Ellen Hoas Ströman, Lina Areblad and Niklas Hallhagen.

On June 25, 2014, it was announced that The Hunger Project-Sweden was awarded 7 million Swedish krona (USD 1.02 million) from the Postcode Lottery to found the Girl Platform. The Girl Platform is designed to serve as a meeting place for everyone in Sweden who works for the rights of girls and creates a platform to discuss maintaining momentum and building lasting change, both locally and globally.
