Annual Partners Meeting
While Jill was in Delhi, she had the opportunity to attend The Hunger Project-India’s annual meeting with partners. In total, 60 people attended, including representatives from 30 of our partner organizations from many of the states in which we are operating, as well as staff from The Hunger Project’s national and state offices. The purpose of this meeting was to create, with our partners, new pathways towards strengthening elected women’s leadership for effective governance. Best practices were shared and future plans were made regarding many issues including: federation building for elected women representatives; effective partnerships with the media; strengthening women’s empowerment in electoral processes; and monitoring and evaluation. Jill remarked that "During these meetings, it was evident to me how passionate The Hunger Project-India staff and our partners are about our work. It was a very informative, forward-looking and inspiring meeting."
