Eight Australian Investors Visit THP-Uganda

In November 2010, The Hunger Project-Uganda hosted eight investors from Australia during a week-long visit.

Traveling to one of our Program Countries as a member of a delegation is one of the most extraordinary opportunities for Hunger Project investors to experience our work firsthand, be a part of our strategies on the ground and feel a personal connection to the communities and partners The Hunger Project works to empower.

Driven to interact with partners, animators, epicenter leadership and development partners, this group of investors visited the Namayumba and Iganga Epicenters as well as several communities not yet directly participating in epicenter programs. They were also fortunate enough to attend the inauguration of Mbale Epicenter, a ceremony that was attended by over 600 partners and included local district government officials.

Investor leadership trips are designed for investors committed to expanding their leadership as fundraising activists, advocates and door-openers for The Hunger Project.
