Human Rights Day 2011

December 9, 2011

Each year, December 10 is the day we recognize the rights all people have to fundamental freedoms, dignity and safety. Sixty-three years ago on this day, the United Nations created the Universal Declaration of Human Rights outlining the basic rights we all have a responsibility to uphold for one another.

On this year's Human Rights Day we celebrate the millions of women and men who demanded their rights and the rights of others in the face of oppression.

Join us and them in creating a future where all people are empowered to stand up for their human rights.
